  2. Have a few to post later
  3. Hi Cameron, I live and ride up in Hilton. I'm still in two minds. Peach let me ride his Inspired Fourplay (amazing) (Thanks again Peach!). Even though I only rode it for a little while before running out of steam, I'm hooked - really waaaant to get one. I am going to be traveling overseas to the UK in June this year. Peach told me about Pink Bike. I have checked the site out and there are bikes like Peach's for 450-600 Pounds. I could pick up a really awesome bike that side for a fraction of the cost. Just have to wait though. Although saying that, I've just checked and there are 120 trials bikes in the UK for sale, so there is a huge market to choose from compared to here . Trying to do the rear wheel hop on my MTB, eish it's hard but all the more practice can only help. I manage a one/maybe two wheel hop so far once in a blue moon . Anyway, Cameron, where do you stay? We must go for a ride sometime??
  4. But may be nice to start with a fork up front to get used to the riding before going rigid.
  5. I went to see Peach at Cascades and he has given me the low down, his Inspired looked awesome!! GT Collector is helping me out putting some ideas together to build a bike up. Possibly to use a DMR 898 Frame (http://dialdbikes.co...-898-frame.html) and to tailor build it the way I want to. The other idea, is to wait for Cycle Lab down in CT, Richard said he will put me on the waiting list for the new Echo's. I certainly like the look of the Echo 24" Mk II http://www.echobike.com/images/2011ECHO/ECHO-2012-BIKE-24-MK2-SIDE.jpg Looks like a sweet ride
  6. Contacted Dylan from Cycle Lab, seems to be a really nice guy. He phoned me for a 15min chat describing which bike would be best. Thanks for the heads up singlespeedGuy and Letum911...+1 He says that he may have a Echo just right for me, super pysched . . . can't wait to become a trial rider.
  7. Thanks guys, I have contacted Dylan Victor via email. Just awaiting his reply, will keep you posted.
  8. Thanks Peach for all the info. If you are ever down PMB with your lesson's bike, I would certainly interested to give it a try. Will keep my eyes super peeled for anything that pops up in my neck of the woods.
  9. Oh, yes, just checked them out now. That is a bonus!! The Inspired Element looks really nice but quite a lot of piggies to break open. What's the opinion on building a trials bike using a DJ frame, is the geometry suitable??
  10. I found this website on the net, http://www.dutycalcu...ails/187311231/ It's a pretty decent calculator for bringing stuff into SA. Looks like on an Onza Zoot Dual Disc, you are looking at +-R17500 once it arrives at your door .
  11. Thanks for the info, will go check out those websites. Sadly import costs are just massively too high to import:(
  12. So which ever way you look at it, prices might be cheaper but VAT + duties are on border patrol waiting to hand you a bill
  13. Thanks for all the info guys Bringing a bike back on a flight for free is certainly a bonus! However still having to pay 50% for VAT and duties is harsh Lexx, I'm going to study for 3 months and hopefully travel Europe while sleeping on friends floors for a month, would four months qualify as a period to deem a bike as undutiable?
  14. Thanks, that is sounding more promising now:) I'll be going to study ay a university there for 3 months, so I think that should be long enough. It'll be my hobby while abroad. As I have never flown before (honest as can be), what would be the cost of bringing such an item back to SA, ball park figures anyway??
  15. Dammmmmmmn I'm really keen but that is a big high. I'm going to the UK later in the year as part of my PhD (chemistry). If I was to buy a bike there, would the same costs apply, don't sponsored riders take bikes overseas, any ideas if they pay??
  16. Does anybody know the importing costs/import duties on bring bikes in SA. Really keen to start trials, been watching too many Danny McAskill's
  17. I've seen a few previous posts but want to relight the trials topic. Any bikes around, anybody know of trial bike shops in SA?

Whats a good wheel size to begin with, I want to get one but I see there are 20, 24 and 26" wheels?
  19. what a honest re sale value of a 2010 CANNONDALE FULL CARBON FACTORY SCAPEL and would anyone be intrested in buying it
  20. The reason I rebled my brakes was exactly what you said in 2. My brakes were constantly rubbing and constant readjusting did not help. I removed the pads, pulled the lever, forcing the pistons apart and I removed the dirt and greased them with a little WD40. I put everything back together and discovered I had pushed the pistons out a bit and was thus the reason for the rebleeding. I removed the air bubbles over 2 days however I will have another go to see if there are any more, if not what do I next? Thanks
  21. I bled them two days ago with Shimano mineral oil. I have also done it a number of times and this has never happened. More detail, it only occurs when the brake lever is pulled tightly but not to the extend of killing it.
  22. I have a pair of Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes and the front one I can only describe as having a "clicking" noise coming from the from brake lever. A symptom of this clicking noise is reduced braking performance. What may the problem? Thanks
