I'm about to buy one of the Matts TFS XC 800-D's at the end of Feb. I'm really looking forward to it so your post is quite encouraging since I feel I'll be getting a good buy then! It's a rather large upgrade over my existing 1998 Giant Rincon SE which was a good bike back then and considering it wasn't a "Race-level" bike either but rather a mid-range bike. I've been told one of the first upgrades should be to go tubeless.
