Thank you for your reply. We only had 2 queries for the 35km bus to the start so didnt have enough people to fill a kombi - we will see next year if we get more takers. Glad you enjoyed it and see you back again next year!

Thank you for your your thoughts on the event, we are sorry that you had a bad experience. We have been holding report back meetings with all involved in the Shova this year and we have made the following changes to the 2020 event. We will not hold the 160km event next year and the 106km and the 65km events will start earlier. We are working on exact times so that the 106km meet the 65km/35km on the M13 where there is a lot of space to pass each other. We hope to see you back again next year!

We have teams out on the route the whole week and the potholes are being filled - yesterday they were on Umlaas Road. We are thankful to the roads department for their assistance. Have a lovely ride and see you at the finish!

  6. Hi Dustman, the Amashova Team event is a social batch. If you want to ride as a team and cycle for prize money then you must enter with the Elites / Vets. Hope this helps
  7. Despite the Amashova Durban Classic not having a sponsor for 2011, the 106km race and 38km fun ride are still going ahead. We are very proud to say that the numbers are so far exceeding those of last year Keep it going guys
  8. Hey we were at Giba Gorge this weekend - what an awesome sight!! So many people riding and enjoying the facility - the best was seeing so many families there! I am so pleased that the Management there have permitted to host the Amashova Mountain Bike events there in October again this year - it is a first class facility - that offers world class meals and friendly service - and now there is a Cyclelab Shop there that hires out bikes - we took friends who were visiting from JHB and they loved it - well done guys and thanks from the Amashova girls
  9. oh and keep close to me and melis and we will show you where to go on Sunday!!!
  10. Hey Slojoe well I hope that you are bringing down a gang and that you have entered the club comp where you can win a trip on a luxuary yacht and spend 3 hours on it with all your refreshments etc and a commemorative wind jammer!!
  11. Hey Guys its Shova time again - get your pretty little butts on the bikes and bring them down to Durbs on 21 October - PLEASE!! Love Annie and Melissa

  13. Well done CGC - if we all look at things in a positive way we will make cycling better for everyone - Annie
  14. The license money goes to the CSA - perhaps you can contact them. I know that they have big plans to grow cycling and to make the structure sound which I think is a great idea! No - sorry the Shova is not a rip off - you get good value for your money!
  15. That is awesome news to all cyclists as well as race organisers! Well done to CGC
