I had a very fortunate escape falling 1,5m or so into the soft stuff at Northern Farm. Three days before I was coming down from Tiffendell with steepest at 24* so that would have been farewell on many corners which have 50m plus drops.

The person at Cyclelab said he had seen it but it was not done there! Thanks for all the comments. Cheerrs

I don't know what the rear rotor make was. I was entrust it to the experts but it had been in for a major service not long ago.

My feeling exactly. Somebody at the Cyclelab workshop said he had which surprised me but one of the others at the store was also gobsmacked at the failure.

Hi there. I had this happen to me and in our group with many kilometers done no one had. The guy who supplied to me said he sees it all the time! I was rather surprised and I wasn't down to steel on steel with my brake pads. So I am interested to know if others have seen it. Cheers

Hi there. I had this happen to me. I took it up with the guy that installed it and he said to me that he sees it all the time. In our crowd of 30 plus years of many kms no one has. Has it happened to anyone out there? And my pad weren't down to steel on steel which was hinted at.
