Event Name: De Wet Cellar MTB and Trail Run When: 31 August 2019 Where: De Wet Cellar, Worcester, Western Cape Category: MTB The inaugural De Wet Cellar MTB and Trail Run will take place on the 31st of August 2019. De Wet Cellar was founded on 15 April 1946 and is the oldest cellar in the Worcester area. Originally, it produced about 3 000 tons of gapes annually, but over the years it has developed into a quality cellar processing around 18 000 tons annually. The main focus of De Wet Cellar is to over deliver on quality, thus creating a product that markets itself. The variety of terroirs in the De Wet-Overhex-Nuy-area where De Wet Cellar’s grapes are grown, secures the style of wine De Wet Cellar is known for. Event Info: The Run 6km - Start - 8:45am - R120 18km - Start - 8:30am - R150 The Ride 28km - Start - 8:00am - R170 The Route Both the 18km trail run and the 28km MTB will be using the existing MTB route at De Wet Cellar. The route is not for the first time cyclist and is challenging for beginners. It is built for fast-paced non-stop fun, and breathtaking views of the De Wet area. The route is approximately 40 % singletrack and can be very technical at times. Very fast singletracks can be expected. Timing by Timing.mobi and is free.
