Bought a new Polar CS200 from Chain Reaction Cycles online. With cadence and HR monitor for +/- R 1,200 with VAT. Great computer and value, only thing is that if you want alititude and graphs of your ride you need to go for the CS400. CS200 is compatible with polarpersonaltrainer.com so you can upload your rides and it keeps a diary etc for you. If you want you can also link via this site to discovery and earn vitality points for your rides like for gym sessions.

I am quick to complain but will also compliment when appropriate. I bought a Merida MTB in Dec'09 and then decided to buy a road bike and again went for Merida. I like the brand and they are very good value for money when compared to other brands. The compliment goes to Derek & Robiie from Cytek Cycle Distributors who respond to a concern I had with regards to a cracked fork within hours. To top it off it was only a scratch and I was just being paranoid but they were incredibly professional and accomodating. I dropped of my bike at Westedene cycles (where I bought it) on Monday 1 November 2010 and within 24 hours Cytek had already collected it, checked it out, polished the scratch out for me and also given the bike a once over to see if everything else was ok. Impecible service creates huge loyalty. Well done and thank you!
