The race will take place between 26 and 28 September 2013. With a total of 1004 rhinos poached across South Africa in 2013, Resolution Health Medical Scheme (Resolution Health), the Renosterveld Trust and Zurreal (sponsors of the event) have teamed up with a set goal of increasing participation of this year's event to the same number. The Renosterveld poses as an endangered habitat and since the first launch of the event all of that has improved. The event extended the habitats' awareness, fundraising and conservational efforts. Cyclists can expect unsurpassed views and breath-taking scenery. The route offers some of the best terrain available from Mother Nature, ranging between rough back roads and jeep tracks to koppies and mountains. www.ridetherhino.co.za Go to Event Page
  5. The 50 km is a social race to create awareness of our rhino’s. It is a flowing trail with no extreme obstacles. There is a ‘new’ trail at ‘Oom Piet’ and a new piece at the Greek church. Slow gradient uphills with peaks here and there. The course is designed to suit the more social riders who want to enjoy the Magaliesberg bush. Difficulty would be 5 out of 10.
  6. No we will be supplying number boards. To be collected on the day from 07:30. Heidi

  13. Thanks for the feedback. From a partner of Renosterveld Events (Ride the Rhino and CA2C). On the Ride the Rhino 2010, we got an 4.5 out of 5 point race report on the Hub. It was great! We did however decide to take out the 7km stretch of sand. I'm not a MTB'er but it cannot be fun! On the CA2C feedback - we learned a lot. It was too hot, there were not enough waterpoints and the race must be marketed as one for serious and professional riders training for the Epic. But also once again - no sand in 2012.
