Matt green in a large 👍🏻

It’s a brand new bike that wasn’t even a month old sadly. Just seems I got unlucky. Took it to my local Trek shop and they were very surprised as this doesn’t seem to happen often but we’re super helpful and we are in coms with Trek’s warranty department. They have a great reputation so I’m not worried that things won’t be sorted out. The shop said the crack shouldn’t impact the safety of the bike as it stands so I’m continuing to ride it until we have the warranty stuff sorted. Still loving the bike

Yes sadly seems I was just very unlucky with the crack but I’m in coms with my local Trek shop and we are dealing with the Trek warranty department 👍🏻 Other than that the bike has been amazing! Climbs amazingly, the internal frame storage is super useful and the slacker geometry has been super stable on the downhill bits. No regrets what’s so ever on the purchase 👌🏻

Just finished giving my new bike a wash and to my horror I’ve noticed what looks to be a crack in either the paint or the frame around a weld. Anyone else had anything similar to this? My thoughts are that the paint shouldn’t crack like this without some underlying cause? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Update: Decided to go for neither of my original options and just picked up a 2022 Trek Top Fuel 7 😁👍🏻

Hi Guys, I’m looking at upgrading to a new bike within the R45k price range. I’ve narrowed it down to the 2022 Scott Spark 970 and the 2022 Specialized Stumpjumper Alloy. Any opinions on which one to go for? Unless there is another option I should consider? Any advice will be much appreciated.
