Haha I love this thread! I need to come up with a scam like this myself to get super rich it's brilliant! My question is: There were many shops and salesman that tried to sell this to me, they must have known it was a scam to be able to do some of these so-called "tests". How can I belive anything they tell me if I go back? I'm talking about sports shops here.

Howsit guys, I recently got a new specialized stumpjumper comp and the chain broke on the very first ride - put a real damper on the rest of the riding for the holidays. The chain is standard with the bike - KMC X10, 10-speed, w/ reuseable Missing Link, nickel plates. When I went to the nearest bike shop in harrismith they told me KMC is a bad chain to start with and replaced it with a 105. Is the chain useless or was there some fault with the setup or am I just unlucky? Thanks!
