I bought my Mercury 2 with Mercury 1's front shock (reba team) and wheelset (mavic crosstrail) as swap-outs 2.5 years ago. Did 2 Sabie experiences 1 Cape Epic 1 Mankele 3 towers and myriad other races - 8000km+ total. Good stuff that! The suspension parts squeak a bit, but most bikes do. The geometry is nice - I set it racy low handles - still confident over rough terrain. My buying decision at the time was the spec / buck ratio - the Mercury was top then.
