I never used The spoke nipples, you kindly left at reception ( That particular wheel, AC 350-sprint, collapsed before I had chance to replace nipples ). Lastly, I still owe to you for nipples. During this Morning ride, my front wheel spoke snapped ! Where in Jhb. I can get new ones ? My wheels are four years old. Shall I think of replacing all spokes in front and rear wheel.

Me to ! I like my Keo mucho, but comparing others, I do change my cleats twice as often. Keo cleats are soft & thickness is wearing quickly !

The Mavic Ksyrium story is not yet over ! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Yesterday I received a Mavic Pawls kit, ( Part No M40578BISA ). Genuine package, factory sealed. It contains TWO PAWLS and FOUR springs ????? Why Four springs ???? So far, I open two Mavic Ksyrium wheels and there is place and space for only one spring per Pawl. Where is the sicret ???

I expected to hear more experiences and inspection conclusions. I think I will stick to my Mavic, using new pawls and small springs. It looks that it was only me to have such a bad krash, caused by wheel.

It is NOT, and again, NOT the matter of the price - IT IS ME BEING THREE TIMES THAT DAY UNCONCIOUS and even now I feel like I am a puzzle of 100 pcs. How the wheel of such a reputation can do this ???????

If anyone had similar experience with the Mavic Ksyrium SL , please tell me what the technical outcome and conclusions are. I have this Mavic wheels for about one year and 5000km. I did buy as a second hand but wheels are still in ?perfect condition?. ( Or ?they become deadly dangerous ). On my Saturdays ride I had heavy crash caused by my Mavic rear wheel FREEWHEEL.!! At about 34 kmh, and cruising down the very small gradient, I step out of the saddle in order to add some speed and to relax my body and arms. The right pedal simply disappeared under my foot and I ended up in heaviest crash in my life. Friend of mine, who helped me on the spot realized that cassette is spinning freely in both directions ???? The spinning of the cassette in both directions produced nice, as usual, noise of pawls running over that internal tooted ring ?????????? A day latter, when I put myself together, I approached to the lethal wheel problem. Before I touched the wheel, I tested cassette again, just to make shure that I did not dreamed about mistake. Cassete had zero free play, was free spinning in both directions accompanied by clear and determined noise from both pawls inside. Future stripping just contributed to my total confusion: Nothing wrong, nothing damaged ???????? 1. Correctly assembled and torque; 2. A bit of thin oil inside the body; 3. Both pawls intact; 4. One small pawl spring just slightly out of shape ?????? The wheel remains open and I won?t be able to ride for weeks. What do you think ????

In numerous occasions I tested my rolling speed, as compared to others from group. It showed that my wheels are slowest from all. Is it the bearings or freewheel. I service them, using proper grease and preload. Is it ceramic bearings replacement to improowe the wheels ? Is this investment worth ? where to obtain a proper set of ceramics ? How much it can hurt ?

I need opinion: having problems on 94.7 race, I blamed my 11/23 then cog casette. Than I get 12/27 and during fitting of it instead of last one 12, I put my old 11 theet cog. Now, I do have a strange grinding noise, and my rear deraileur adjustment is not perfect. What did I mistake ? Is this 11/27 combination wrong ? Please advise !!

Hi ! I need advice: where in Johannesberg to take my American Classic 350 rear wheel for proper service ? So far,I took them to Westdene and Cyclelab, but it did not work well. I think that I have to replace set of spokes on rear one, niples are gone out. Which one to go for ? Thanks in advance !
