  1. My hub just gave out on me after about 200km on the bike. I suspect the hubs on these bikes aren’t strong because I had a Bolinas Ridge 2 before the Bobcat which I did 947 Steyn City in the mud with last year and it never made any sounds after. I even did Wolvespruit with it which is quite rocky and the hub was quiet. I had more mileage on it as well https://youtube.com/shorts/ZHsre9qr5cc?si=3oMYKFFIIgBEaPCz
  2. I picked up a weird sound from my Marin Bobcat Trail 4 and upon inspection, I found that it is coming from the rear wheel and I suspect it could be the rear hub but I can’t say for sure. At first I suspected that my brake rotor could be scraping against the brake pads but the sound is persistent even when I’m moving the wheel slowly by hand as in the video attached. The bike is just under 5 months old with less than 200km mileage on it (about 40% on tar road). Is it normal for the hub and/or hub components to wear out with this much mileage? What could really be the problem. My previous bike before the Bobcat was a Bolinas Ridge 2 which I put more that 200km on and rode on tougher terrains (947 Steyn City in 2022 in the mud) with it and it never made these sounds. I bought the bike from CL and it’s only been serviced by them. https://youtube.com/shorts/9PFzhorQkHo?si=UhyNZBDWMGIHiAJX https://youtube.com/shorts/dUeppvqYPJw?si=b62ASrfbMRklaYOZ https://youtube.com/shorts/ZHsre9qr5cc?si=3oMYKFFIIgBEaPCz
  3. I recently got the Bobcat Trail 4 as well, very beautiful bike. It is currently in for the 60-day service but I cannot wait for to get it back so I can inspect my hub while it is still under warranty.
