  1. Okay then possibly i understood the explanation incorrectly. Thanks all
  2. Hi.Im not sure what model Ultegra derailleur it is , but what i do know there was a 11/28 cassette on, now there's a 11/32 WITH 50/34 crankset upfront. VID-20240924-WA0335.mp4 VID-20240924-WA0336.mp4
  3. HI, Yes hence me asking as the older DuraAce / Ultegra 10sp would allow up to 28 cog, so when i saw a 11/32 and it was shifting I was How is this possible, even without the Jockey extender to assist travel.
  4. So here's a question: Has anyone changed the roller arms on a short cage jockey to a long cage and has it worked. Reason is i have heard that short cage jockeys can take 11/32 cassette with 34/50 crankset. I was bit sceptical as a short cage Ultegra /Dura ace can go up to 28. Then i saw a video where it is working perfectly fine. 1)What would the longevity be of the Jockey? 2)would an extender to the jockey not be a better option?
  5. Hi. Do quite a bit of climbing. Redhill, Llandudno, suiker, chappies and then in Durbanville surroundings
  6. when i got back into cycling i had 53/39 and 11/28. Was a bit tough, in the hills, then i did the 50/34 and 11/32 change, but i seldom go to the 32 ring in the rear. must of gotten stronger
  7. Current cranks are 172.5mm on current bike. new bike 175mm. i was told i will need a long cage derailur for the travel. i will go check out shimano's site regarding this
  8. Hi. Need some advice. I am 1.67mtr tall and cranks on prospective new bike is 175mm, with a 53/39 crank and 11/28 cassette. My options in my head Option 1:Take off 50/34 and 11/32 off my other bike - but then I compromise on speed but hill climbing is there Option 2: Get a 52/36 crank with 172.5mm crank and 11/30 cassette Option 3: Keep the 53/39 - try to find shorter crank arms that will fill and see what cassette is compatible
  9. No it was for the young kids. There was a 1.5km and 7km race for older kids
  10. Will there ever be a Junior Tour again for the kids. Was such a hit with the kids, now its zilch for the next Generation.
  11. I climb fairly easily but there are some steeper climbs that I know will bring on the pain train in heavy incrimants if I don't have the correct setup
  12. Hi all. So based on my height will a medium suffice or a small.
