Event Name: NAMAQUA Daisy Challenge MTB & Trail Run When: 6 August 2016 Where: Die Keldery, Spruitdrift Cellar (On R363 between Klawer and , Western Cape Category: MTB he Namaqua Daisy challenge is back and promises to be even better than before. Like always it offers three trail run routes along with the three existing mountain bike routes. Treating participants to the pristine vineyards of the West Coast is one thing, but spoiling them with Namaqualand daisies in full bloom is surely the highlight of these routes. Incorporated with the local Church bazaar, in true Namaqualand fashion, this event will definitely deliver on all fronts of expectations.   10. 14km Trail Run First part of route mainly farm track and will take runners through vineyards. Then small part gravel road on to farm track again for most of the route.   11. 26km Trail Run First part the same as 16 km trail but turns on to a jeep track at “Skaapkop” with a little incline. On top you will have a picturesque view of the Olifantsrivier Valley.   12. 34km MTB The 34km route is mainly jeep track. The climbs can be rocky in some places and also very steep. At the top of the climbs the rider will be rewarded with stunning views of the valley and surroundings.   13. 57km MTB The 57km route consists of about 90% jeep track. The climbs are mainly rocky and technical. Rewarding views of the Olifants River valley awaits the effort. Some fast down hills with hair raising bends. This route requires fit and experienced riders. Good climbing skills are necessary.   14. FARMFUN is team orientated fun and games, to engage the whole family in a fun filled day of activities. The 6km FUNRUN OR WALK is for any age and fitness level, even Grandma can complete the distance with ease. The 10km FUN RIDE is the ideal family ride for all enthusiastic cyclists. FARMFUN GAMES is immeasurable fun for the whole family. You enter a team of 6 members of which 2 must be adults. Different fun activities are set out for teams to compete against each other, utilising all team members' talents!
