  1. I totally understand your confusion, I've been in the same situation! If I were you, I would prefer a well-maintained bike with good specs, even if it is a little older — a Scott 910 from 2014 is still a nice machine. The Scott Scale are super light and reliable hardtails. At Momsen, the AL329S are nice for the price too. The important thing is the general condition and maintenance. Good research, you will enjoy it!
  2. You can try at Cycle Lab or Dial'd Bikes, they sometimes have stock even when others are out of stock. Otherwise, RideWrap offers good alternatives in frame protection.   3. Pour un budget de R3500, tu peux regarder les marques comme Titan, Giant ou Specialized, qui proposent de bons vélos pour enfants. Le Titan Racing Hades 16" est une excellente option avec un cadre léger et de bons composants. Pense aussi au Frog 44 ou au Silverback Spyke, qui sont bien adaptés aux jeunes cyclistes.
