Graphite avenue in Helderkruin is the bottom. So stand in the road with the hill on your right. Go straight. Turn right. Go up the hill, to the last road, turn right. You are at the top. Put on your helmet and pray to god........ And down you go..... The long cocks ride up again...... And I mean on the tar. It is not possible to cycle up again offroad, in my opinion.

And then try to ride up the hill to the top again .........that separates the men from the boys.....take a mate to fetch you with his bakkie or tow you up again with his veldfiets of iets....or to take you to the hospital.......

How about some track designs for the pump track and proposed line of jumps ? Or some pictures of awesome tracks which we can copy, and improve ?

Can you say roughly where this track is at Rietvlei please ?

Greetings. If you are the owner of a construction company or a construction equipment hire firm, or if you just have a TLB lying around, please could you donate some of its time with a driver for the building of a pump track ? The location is on the Spruit. There is some time needed to secure permissions and make a design. There is some keen interest in an associated thread on the The Hub. There is a guy who has 3 months of holiday to spend on the project. Please let us know by posting in the thread. I will go and add a link in a minute.

Hmmm, Some very good points here. Someone has contacted me who has 3 months holiday and wants to build the pump track - so I think he will take this further. 3months of holiday should do it, eh ? Maybe we can get him a TLB. TLB - Yes - this is a good idea, anyone got one, or have a company with one - seriously. Company owners ride too. Its probably compulsory actually. Delta - Who did you guys negotiate with ? Got a contact at the council ? We probably need permission to build near Fratellis anyway. Location at Fratellis - well everyone seems to agree. Not exactly sure where you mean - do you mean if you start at Fratellie and turn RIGHT just before the hump near the guys house with the canoes on the wall ??? Boredom factor - Interesting. I am going to ride at Mikes and also check out the Rietvlei abandoned track. Wendell <Thaba trails and Rietvlei> says - No thanx. I think he has had enough of building for a while. Awesome DH track at Thaba though. I am going to post a thread about the TLB and I am also going to contact the guys at Tread. Who built the new jumps on the concrete blocks ? I think thats a rider ?

Also I wonder who maintains the spruit trail, like who did the nifty bridges and the cement on the road near the gym ? I think the municipality does some and riders do some. Does anyone know.

I am in favour of a place close to that winding track on the side of Delta park that starts at the school and ends by the small bridge / by the guys house with the weird mesh fence who has the citroen. Maybe this is the place you mean Mr. Ultimate hubber ? There will be good drainage as its like 30 degrees ! Maybe a pump track must be flat ?
