@Azonic - not sure its thats the same fellow, the fella on the herald facebook page defending Mr Gouws is a Leon Meiring, he has a strange view on life, everyone upset by Mr Gouws actions are all losers!

JGR, the Herald reported that he said he was sorry in the court yesterday, but he than walked out and revealed his tshirt, so thats why i want to know what was he thinking. I suspect his little performance in the court was to try get bail, as soon as he got it and was released his true colours came out. i really don't buy the story that he was wearing that shirt for 3 days!

agree with JGR! Leon, as you know Andre so well, could you please explain the thinking behind him wearing that t-shirt?

drafting was a huge problem at this years 70.3. But the organisers are very aware of it and Paul Woolf was very vocal about it in the race briefing for the full Ironman. He advised that in future refs will be told to stop the entire bunch and release riders one at a time. They are furthermore going to increase the number of groups going off, so this should spread the field. In terms of DQ's, you need to attend the race briefings the day before the race, even if you have done the race a couple of times. I saw someone drop a gel 5 meters outside the litter zone and get DQ'd! he had no one to blame but himself as this was highlighted in the race briefing, which I suspect he had not attended. The "poor" guy was running down Bunkers hill on the way to the finish! what a way to go!

Beachview ! strange , i got taken out by a resident of Beachview last year who also felt he did not need to stick around until stopped by witnesses ! in fact chose to threaten me when i advised him I found it unbelievable that he did not even bother to check if i was ok. The best part is his advocates opinion which states that "without warning i appeared". although he could have had sighting of me if he had just bothered to look before entering the through road! Its time a clear message gets sent to motorists that they dont own the road, but share it with other users! I accept accidents happen, but what happened to Clem is not acceptable! the Driver got into that car knowing he was breaking the law and ends up robbing a family of a father and husband, lets pray that the law gets it right this time, not like to many other cases were they have been allowed to walk free, examples Reg Haupt in CT and the guy that killed the cyclists in George.

Rip Clem, it was always a pleasure dealing with you and you will be missed in the business community in PE. my deepest sympathies to his family and friends
