Hi, Ive been looking at the Silverback range of mountain bikes and they seem to have reasonable specs compared to price. I know its a South African brand, but don't know how they compare to brands like Giant, Merida etc. in terms of quality and service. Would it be worthwhile? If anyone have any experience of them, please let me know. Thanx

OK, that makes sense, but I just want to know in general how Giant and Felt frames compare in terms of quality, etc. I would like to know a bit more about the merida and Silverback Nebraska frame quality as well. hope someone can help me with this...

Im looking to buy my first decent mountain bike. So far the best value for money i could find was : 1) Felt Q720 with Rockshox Dart 2 and hydr discs. (for R5850) 2) Giant Alias 2008 with Rockshox Dart 2 and Hydr Discs. (for R5950) Does anyone have any better suggestions and which one of the 2 is best? Thanx, this guy im looking to buy a bike from said he replaced the LX disc brakes with the KCNC. should I ask him to put the LX back on?

Im not too familiar with all the technical stuff of bicycles, but do know enough to get around. I haven't heard of KCNC Hydraulics disc brakes before. Can anyone let me know whether it's alright quality, service etc compared to Shimano LX disc brake sets. thanx
