I have looked on the hub for second hand bikes my problem is that how do you know if the bike has been well looked after!! Its like buying a used car, things look good on the surface but deep down there could be serious problems.

Agreed but that is the top end of my budget, as i said before 3 kids and a wife to feed.

No just the bike i have all the kit, my eldest son is going to take my existing bike so am looking at options for me.

Thanks for the advise, reckon i should go to all the shops and actually get on the bikes. At the moment i ride mostly Northern Farms but want to start doing some races but not a racing snake just a fierce competitor!!

Please help me, I am looking at buying an entry level 29er (wife & 3 kids to feed) and their are a number of choices ie Scott comp, Giant ?? and trek mamba that all look good. Which one in your opinion is the best value in this bracket?? Many thanks

Hi All, Does anybody know what happened at Northern Farms on Sunday morning. As i was finishing my ride with the family there were 3 paramedic vehicles and an ambulance driving towards the tunnel at the entrance! When i was packing up they were all in the car park and another ambulance arrived?? Hope all was ok!! Thanks.
