  1. Adventure , just for that second night
  2. Anybody know of any B&Bs or hotels close to Jolivet Farm
  3. Started riding my road bike again after 6 years. Will the carbon fork weaken over time/ How tight does the chain need to be on a SS, Had to do a conversion after the derailleur broke. Thanks
  4. Awesome service from these guys today. My mate broke his rear dérailleur today. Took bike in straight from ride. Bike was dirty, chain stuffed etc. They quoted to replace along with cassette. Only had an XT derailleur.Said they would try and fix asap as they knew it was a long weekend (heard that before!) and we wanted to ride. They called 1hr later and said bike was ready. Spotless with an SLX derailleur which they managed to find saving a few bucks Thanks guys will definatly be supporting you in future
  5. Crazy weather. Out riding and saw race so decided to pop in and ride. My mate and I only had R50 each but they still let us ride. Nice people, well organized , definatly worth supporting
  6. Cheers. Must be a gap for some dude willing to be a bit pro-active as well and run a service on the go thing such a picking up your bike or just coming round and servicing the bike at home/office. A small inventory of spares and a registry of his clients bikes parts is all that he would need and I am sure he could do quite nicely out of this..... The okes who just ripped me off our a Joburg Northern Suburbs shop who I gave 30k to 1yr ago for my 29r. Chops
  7. Is there any reputable bike shop who actually services bikes properly. I am on about my 5th now. It's not about price. Just do the job properly and on time , it's not all about cost. I am gatvol of always getting my bike back late and then having to go back in because something's not working. I got told today at a new shop that the front pads that were replaced last month are stuffed and don't look a month old!!! Ive complained plenty times before but it always fall on deaf ears and its a pain in the arse trapping around during work hours to and from bike shops. C'mon guys , nobody wants to see you battle ! I hear the same moans about this all the time. Just behave professionally and treat your clients as clients , we spend good cash at your shops and dont deserve to be treated like idiots by you or your staff. How many of you offer to deliver bikes back after a service (home, office etc)?People will gladly pay for this. Kom kernels, word wakker
  8. cheers
  9. I know its just me being lazy, I did it 2 years ago and the thought of spending a hour each day standing in the rain waiting to wash my bike has left deep scars
  10. Hi Does anybody know of anyone offering service packagaes in the adventure and the race? Cheers
