  1. Some feedback on the trail at Modderfontein we cycled this past weekend. A really great initiative, excellent riding and training ground in the modderfontein area we so desperately need. A LOT of work has gone into the trail building, the bridges, the markings and good use of space. Its easy to get there, pay and ride. About 400m of climbing per lap which is quite flat but great place to get some good training practice in. It’s all ridable for ladies and kids, and I felt totally safe riding there, even if I was on my own. Adding to the good feel was the many riders around anyway. We have noted a few suggestions for the organizers, and hope and want this to be a premium mtb park in jhb.Great job so far!!! The R40 is well worth the money seeing the effort that has gone into this and remember the MTN cycle park is R50. Here you can actually get a decent long training ride in where one can only do short 3 or 4km laps at the MTN cycle park. Im not sure what the roadmap is for the future of this mtb park, but there is a lot of potential and hope it keeps up its present rate of popularity and growth. Happy riding all
  2. ok...dragon doesnt do formula anymore...and rush sports only does the formula brakes. Funny however they have had similar enquieries, although formula hubs and formula brakes come different companies...different parts of the world. Totally not the same thing. I actually emailed formula this morning in Taiwan. The sales chap got back to me within minutes, they probably sleeping by now, but he has my address and said they would post me a seal and an end nut. Lets see what happens. I have an exploded view of the hub and each part with its correlating part number in pdf. If you need this for some obscure reason anyone...please see this site. www.xerowheel.com/public/techData/2005102111498.pdf www.xerowheel.com/public/techData/20081217135147.pdf Website is www.xerowheel.com and www.formulahubs.com There are some other hubs there too. Not a very light thing ..but seems good quality. Hope this helps. Ryan
  3. Well....no...it wasnt that spectacular. But i was lucky. We cycled the Brait to Grace on Saterday, came 13th overall, me and my partner, and then Sunday took my little 7 year old and his mates to mtn cycle park for his party. I rode 300m and it popped, i was doingless than 10km/h. Freaky that i could have been coming down the finish line straight at 40km/h+ on saturday when it could have happened!! Thanks for the info at Dragon Sports. Ill give them a call and see if they have. Ill repost here by end today. Ryan
  4. I recently totally destroyed my hub when one of the end nuts came loose, opened up wider and wider which then snapped the skewer in half, shooting half out each side of the bike, snapping the end nut in 2, and damaging the free-hub seal (formula part no: DWG-034A). The inner nut then suddenly tightened, compressing the bearings into dust, and instantaneously locked the wheel. The bearings are standard bearings R40 bucks a pop, but for the life of me, no one can tell me where to get this seal. Thanks Ryan
