  1. which one is the better buy? http://www.solomonsonline.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=136_4_17&products_id=743 or http://www.silverbacklab.com/2011_website_SILVERBACK/alpine1.htm the Silverback for R7000 or the Fuji for R7500?
  2. i see buycycle has a Menabo Project Tilt 2 for R2449 Anyone know this brand?
  3. I do have a tow bar mount. The Thule Ride on 2 looks like the better deal. Another LBS is offering the Holdfast Sprint 2 Bike for R2500 but I'm not familiar with that brand
  4. Hi guys I am looking at different bike racks but can't make up my mind. The guys at the LBS's makes it even harder because they all have different opinions. I'm looking at the following: Buzzrack Buzzcruiser 2 Bike - R3900 Bosal Twinny - R3799 Thule Ride on 2 (9502) - R2800 The one guy says the Thule Ride on 2 is not that good compared to the Buzzrack Any advice? Thanks
  5. I just stumbled upon this deal at sportsmanswarehouse. Merida Matts TFS 500-D - R6999 It has Rockshox XC30 Poplock 100mm fork compared to the SB's Rockshox Recon Silver Air ( not sure which one's better) Its a 30 speed compared to SB's 27speed. On most websites its selling for R8000 and above. Is this a better deal than the SB?
  6. Its like cptmayhem said, for a grand less the SB looks like the better buy
  7. I am in the "Klein Karoo" near Colesberg, so i'll mostly do cross country riding. Trail riding looks like fun so i would like to that when i'm areas like Knysna
  8. Thanks for all the replies I am leaning towards the Silverback. Seems like more value for money. @King_Crispy - not going to Jhb any time soon Just a quick question - Is the Merida Matts Lite 3000 worth the R4000 extra? right now its snowing outside, but i swear if i already had my bike i'd be out riding. Can't wait to start mbiking.
  9. Hi everyone I am from a small town in the Karoo and finally decided to get into mountain biking After spending countless hours on the net it came down to these bikes: Silverback Alpine 1 - R7000 Scott Scale Team 29er - R8000 Scott Aspect 10 - R8000 Merida Matts Lite 3000 - R11000 ( a bit outside my budget, but nothing a loan wont fix) I still havent decided if I should go with 29er or not. my height is 1.72m and i weigh 67kgs. The one guy said he wouldnt recommend a 29er and the other said it would be fine. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers
  10. what about the Scott Scale Team 29er for R8000?
