I did the Sondela race presented by ASG on Sunday the should call it the Bush and Beach, the event was a shocker. Firstly who starts an event at 9 oclock seriously should have started at 8 for the 80 km and 9 for the 40 km's, the 40 km riders were helluva rude and were taking huge chances overtaking on terribly cut single track. If your going to do a two lap race make sure the 1st lap is exciting I dreaded going into the 2nd lap just because i knew the sand was going to be worse due to the traffic it had seen. Water points shocking, marshalls were students who were just told what direction to send us in, I didnt mind that actually what else do you want marshalls to do I didnt care about the goodie bag honesly guys you paid R200 what do you expect a Sani2c goodie bag, most goodie bags are filled with rubbish anyway so I prefer that the organisers save the costs on that and rather step up with the water table offerings which didnt happen here though I was also shocked to see the organisers packing up before the back markers got in, that very bad showing I've never seen that at an event before ASG you need to step up to the plate, its a tough competitive market the cycling events game and so far your not in the game at all
