Jo’burg Child Welfare is having a fundraiser on the 29th of October at Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg. Come and meet guest speaker Riaan Manser. Riaan became the first person to cycle around Africa in 2006. Over two years, alone and unaided, he pedalled 37,000km through 34 countries. In 2009, Riaan paddled 5000km in eleven months to become the first person to circumnavigate Madagascar by kayak. And more recently he battled Arctic elements with partner, Dan Skinstad, paddling 2300km in five months in a double kayak to circumnavigate Iceland. “Hard, gritty, strong, emotional, frightening and DEEPLY INSPIRATIONAL”.

94.7 Cycle Challenge jhbchild.bmp RIDE FOR A PURPOSE The 94.7 cycle challenge is the ultimate cycling challenge and we are searching for cyclists who are motivated to raise funds for abused, abandoned, neglected, orphaned and vulnerable children and would like to team-up with Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW). We received confirmation that our starting group is DD @ 08:32. We can have as many riders as we get, so if you are keen on being part of the Jo’burg Child Welfare family, please register and ride for us! Note that if you do get a personal seeding time better than this, you can start in that seeding group while you are riding for JCW!
