Anyone got any advice on slicks for a 29er I bought a set from Solomons, and when I got home I saw that they can only be pumped up to 3.5bar which doesn't seem sufficient to me for road biking. The XC tires I've got on the bike at the moment can be pumped to 5.5bar by way of comparison. I called Solomons and they assured me that riding 100km (read 94.7) on slicks at 3.5bar vs higher pressure tires won't make any difference, but that doesn't seem right to me. The guys at Solomons also said they don't have much in the way of choice for 29er slicks and that they are hard to come by which is I expect why they sold me these 3.5bar no-namers (that's what they had, not what was best) Anyone got any thoughts, and more practically - anyone know of a bike shop that has some decent 29er slicks because I'm sure there must be better ones around than these no-namers I've got. Any advice appreciated
