Hi guys. I'm new to the forum, hope you all are ready for the 94.7?! I would like to share with you guys my experience with Concept Cyclery Melrose Arch. When I got to the shop I looked at the prices of their services and I thought "oh damn no" but then a guy came out the workshop by the name of Juan and explained to me in detail what each service entitles. The way he explained it really impressed me and I decided to book my bike in after all. When I booked it in, Juan did warn me that he is the only mechanic there because the other one has been sick for a couple of days so the bike will only be ready a day or two after I booked it in. The next day I got a call from Juan saying that he has started on my bike and gave me a list of things that he picked up needs attention in very good detail. I got another call later that day saying my bike is ready for collection. Picked up my bike and it looked amazing! Attention to detail on the bike looked better than the new bikes that were standing on the floor. You could see that the boy was taking strain with being the only one in the workshop before the big race, but when he started to talk about what he did on the bike one could see he talks with passion about his job, and thats something that I believe every bike mechanic should have. I took my bike for a ride this morning and I was blown away by how quiet it was and the shifting very positive and smooth. One thing is for sure, all my bikes and all of my friends will be sent there. I've been around and have been in some of the highest rated shops in the U.S and Italy, but not even those workshops impressed me as much.
