People (especially us younger folk) tend to think it is uncool to wear a helmet. So is it really so much cooler to have a head and/or brain injury? If you know how to use a safety belt in a car, then you can use a helmet. If you don't, you do not belong on the road. One thing I like about commuting in Cpt, is almost everyone wears helmets (here in Westlake/Muizenberg atleast). BAck up in Jhb people looked funny at you for wearing head protection.
