I would need a relatively competitive road bike (frame size approx. 60 cm or 24 ins or L/XL) for 2-3 days in early February.

I have not decided yet but I am sure I can still find a place to stay. Do you have a good idea (hotel, B&B, apartment)? In any case I will rent a car and therefore be flexible to get to different potential meeting points.

Hello to this forum! This seems to be the right place to find bikers in South Africa, so I decided to join. I plan to come to your beautiful country for the first time in early February and thought of starting at some races during that time (Herald Cycle Tour, Ninety Niner Cycle Tour). Since I would also love to explore more of the two cities and their surrounding area, I hope to find group rides (or simply someone joining me) in and around Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. So is there anybody here who would not mind riding with a German rider who is struggling with the nasty weather we have over here around this time of the year? Also I would be happy to hear from anyone who has an idea where to rent a road bike around Port Elizabeth. In Cape Town it seems to be easier but maybe I am just too stupid to browse the internet efficiently. Björn
