  1. Bike shop:: Sealant used is Stans (water-based) . Whether something was adjusted i will never know! as was told all good...no leaks.mystery. Went for a fantastic ride so far so good !
  2. Exactly what I've had to do. Shop mech. SHOULD get this right ~ & paid them already!). Thank you eveyone ~ all the the wiser. Next round DIY if I need to! http://www.notubes.c...nstruction.aspx
  3. supposed to be ! (how would I know if they are genuine?! )
  4. Shall find out today if it leaked over the weekend on shop floor and make more informed Q's about sealant /tape/ etc when collecting the bike. Would a particular sealant used make a difference?
  5. ~ yes mmmm the Atta comet that flew into my tire during my fall in a black muddy puddle ;-P. I ask the same question...apparently normally found in the mixture of micro particles ???? Surely the latex emulsion would not.....
  6. Thank you Tayyib: Because i was rushed for time and new to Tubeless I let the bike mech. at shop put the new on. (as a paying client you trust it is prept. in good hands!) .Makes sense to scrub it up in ICU ;-). MTB tires at 2 bar and kept hard. If all's in place re rim tape, no holes then there should be no leakage. I was informed it might leak water /sealant for a week and even up to month. The I should trust all is well then if the tires do not go flat! bizaar! Will keep in mind the steps whence the need arises. Wil6: Besides when I pumped it up once after the race, through the valve seal. Sealant from the rims: yes good Q...random area of the rim....(taken back to shop this morning to check, response "nothing wrong".....left it there the weekend.....await verdict on monday.;-). thanx guys
  7. Hi, converted to tubeless afternoon before a Attakwas race: Road 6km to get sealant particulates evenly worked in. Was leaking over night: water and sealant on my floor. Thought was normal and just need to ride them in. Next day during race NO punctures and seemed to maintain 2 bar pressure. Attach: After race this is what the rims look like. Had lost some pressure so during pump air and sealant exuded through value seal. Have to pump every night for a week since Saterday. BIke: GT Zaskar-expert (m) 1 yr old RIMS:Easton Exp360 Tires: Mixxis tires 29er Seek advice as to what is possibly the problem? (BIke shop that fitted the tubeless "says its normal"!. Possible rim tape holes? appreciate feedback (I'm fit but rusty on the mech. getting there:) thank you happy Saterday... Caryn
