Where there is smoke? Got busted on EPO anyway. News out today.

This morning 2 ladies were cycling on bottelary road towards Stellenbosh and a guy in a black vw golf took potshots at them with his air gun. If anybody experienced a similar incident and got a registration number let us know so we can get this guy off the road.

Anybody aware of anyone planning to offer transport packages for the Sani2c from Cape Town.? Cycle lab apparently won't be doing it again this year.

You can do the W2W on your bike. I've been given a hiding by a farmer on his 70's bike with a carrier and a slicks on a 55km technical race. You can also run a marathon barefoot. Depends on the challenge you are willing to face. If you hit a muddy patch and then a serious downhill, you may not have any brakes to speak of. Some say you need a dual susser if you do a 3 day stage race like w2w. I think that's over the top. If you can afford to I'd say at least have disc brakes and perhaps tubeless tyres. These two upgrades will reduce your chances of an mechanical breakdown and accidents significantly.
