  2. Sorry the pc gave me an error report everytime. So I thought it didnt post it. I deleted the others just now.
  3. I would just like to post a topic to say thanks to Johan Bornman for assisting me by fixing by bike?s stripped hanger/dropout. He really helped me out in a big way. Anybody out there with mechanical problem, I can really recommend you go and see him. His love for and knowledge of the sport of cycling really shows in what he does. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Do yourself a favor and contact him for great service with a smile. Being from the Vaal where well-skilled bicycle people are in shortage, I truly enjoyed meeting someone like this. He is in NorthCliff. Drop him a pm. His nickname is the same as his name: Johan Bornman. Piesang2009-03-20 15:11:10
  4. Nothing special. It's an Scott Speedster S2 - 2005 model. Me and this bike have had many happy Kilometers!
  5. Thanks man. Wil see what I can do. I've grown so attached to my frame. Would be to sad for it be replaced.
  6. Hi, My bike doesn't have a detachable hanger(part of frame where DR skrews onto). From wear and tear over the years the thread of this is worked out. The bike shop told me that I need to re-thread it. Our bike shops here in the Vaal are useless and can't do it for me. Can anybody advise me on a bike shop or cycle repair place in Gauteng that might assist with this. Or maybe knows of other ways to fix the problem?
  7. Hey Piesang this is not directed at you' date=' but jeez another great thread turns into an Armstrong fest...enough already, the guys bike is the ugliest there...who cares when he last raced. If you want a lesson in great Brand Building Mr Armstrong go introduce yourself to Valentino Rossi (I doubt he'll charge you a R1,000,000 for the hour) he'll teach you a thing or two about image (He owns 46 and THE DOCTOR) there's a real champion.[/quote'] You are entitled to your opinion. But as for me I couln't be more happy to see the man back on a bike, even if it is a ugly bike. To me he will always be a legend and a real champion.
  8. That would be correct! You are our lucky winner for tonight
  9. Lets see how many true Lance fans are out there...quick question...what does the 1274 on Lance's bike stand for? First correct person wins a box of smarties
