  1. Hi All I'm looking for some more info on the Kwela 29r Testing done ,how it rides or compare to other 29r bikes ext Hope to get some feedback soon Thanks
  2. Hi guys Thanks for all the reply's my personal experiance was great with Reba up to date , just found mine to also constantly leak small amounts of oil from lock-out. I like the feel of the fox at the moment and wanted to know how the two compare to eachother. As for the 100mm to 80mm travel on xc and marathon rideing and being a less than 70kg rider is it correct to say 80mm is more than enough? Thanks
  3. Hi all, just like to know between a Rock Shox Reba SL 100mm travel and a FOX RL F80 80mm travel Which is the better one to use and why, I think the Fox is better but I've had great service from my trusty Reba. Also what does the differance in travel mean? I'm a lightwight rider at 68kg and belive that riding mostly XC and Marathon 80mm is more than enough for me? Thanks
  4. Thanks will have a look. Yes, I know there must be some great rides there that's why I'm asking this time around! Did not know where to look last I was there. Cheers
  5. Hi All I'm from Pta and will be down in Cape Town from 14 to 24 Oct, takeing my mtb with again, last time I was there I battled to find nice rideing even though I know there must be plenty! Gonna be in the Strand and hope there is some rides in the area I can join up with or any events happening at the time. Please let me know. Thanks
  6. Hi , I rade in VA and the guys there crossed the white line just as often. Hell I'd be lying to say I did not, at some point I found myself to cross aswell. There were some scary times with traffic comeing from all directions and I think even though total road closeure is a bit to much to ask mayb to educate and raise awareness of community's and road users on race day would help....??? Hey but I'm new to this road thing and althoug I prever the dirt I had a blast on SAT.
  7. My experiance when I started out rideing and asked alot of questions to alot of differant people, has also left a bit of a sour tast towards the special brand in my mouth, exept that thier stuff is so expensive they kept talking anything els I was mentioning down and elevating thier product. It might have been better but did not like the way it was done at all and it set me off totally.
  8. Hi all agree that you must ride with what you love and what works for you! I'm riding MTB so do not know any of road stuff and can only comment on MTB. Been rideing SRAM and LOVE it, but when I baught my new bike had to make a compromise and went for GT Zaskar Expert carbon, opting for better frame than components and I found that I liked the way Shimano's trigger shifters work suited my rideing style better. So I recon it's rider preferance more than anything else. Cheers
  9. Thanks for all the suggestions I have a good idea what to try out next Cheers
  10. Thanks used maxxis Larsen TT before and found if you push hard into corners it "washes" and lost the front a couple of times. Running Crossmark on the back and Specilised Captain in front at the moment. Be sure to try out mono-rail in future Thanks
  11. Hi all I'm sure that this is a topic that was discussed before but I would like to ask... What tyres would you suggest to have optimal control without sacrificing to much control and or rolling resistance on a varitey of differant surfaces. I tried some differant tyres but it's a bit expensive to change tubeless tyres to try out something new everytime. Any suggestions? Thanks
