  1. So February 2013 i bought a new GT Series 1 Matt Black Roadbike from my Lbs. Five months down the line and on a DC training ride ride with the owner of my Lbs the frame cracks were the centre tube and top tube converge. The Rep from Omnico (GT) was quick to say they will replace the frame and eventually after 2 weeks a replacment was found. They couldn't source the excact frame but "upgraded"(downgraded) me to a 2012 frame with carbon rear stay, woha, and with slight damage(chips) on the paint work. This was a grey/black frame with yellow dacals. The Mattblack carbon fork didn't match the laquerded finished frame but the one tonner and DC was around the corner and i needed the riding time. I was also convinced that i am getting better value with this upgrade. I had to fork out rebuilding costs and an extra appr. R2000.00 because my original compact crank did not fit the BB of the "new' frame. I was told that if this new frame crack they will replace me with a XXL frame, although the XL frame is suitable for my size. I am 98kg and 1.86m. Well now seven months down the line and the "new" frame cracks at exactly the same place. On the first day i was told they will replace the frame, no problem, they must just find one in the store. Well after nagging my Lbs every day it took them 11days to find a frame, Matt White in XXL. Obviuosly i'm not happy with a white matt finish frame and had to phone the Rep from Omnico on the Lbs advise....."Well in short i was told to take what is offered and thats it. Unless i can wait a couple of months(4-6) and they can try to ship a frame from "who knows were". Still not happy..." but sir then u can phone the whoever from GT and yes you can get his details on the back of the GT brochure or from your LBS". So i have to fight this on my own!!!! This is a OMNICO statement.... As a company that has been in the lifestyle industry for over 20 years, we pride ourselves on distributing our products only through the best retail outlets,that add value to our brands by offering their customers the support they need to enjoy their lifestyle. Well Omnico/GT i did not get the support i needed to enjoy my lifestyle and will go somewhere else with my money in future or stay without your products.
