The KAP sani2c is one of SA’s most-loved mountain bike stage races, and after celebrating a successful 20th edition last month, the team looks forward to hosting the KAP sani2c nonstop from 21-23 June. The race follows 250 km of the sani2c trails from Glencairn to Scottburgh and must be completed within a 24-hour period. Joel Stransky has entered as Team Lumohawk with Geoff Lee and Graham Parker, and Devon Baird in the support vehicle.   6. Wessel Botha and Danielle Strydom claimed the respective men’s and women’s SA MTB Marathon Championship titles at the 85km Sappi Karkloof Classic Trail Festival on Sunday.   7. The 20th edition of the KAP sani2c saw all three events, The Race, Adventure and Trail, thrill riders from Underberg to Scottburgh on 265 kms of exclusive trails.   8. Gravel Racing in South Africa continues to gain popularity and has now been boosted by the launch of the In the Sticks Gravel Series. The five-race series will offer decent prizemoney, media coverage and a high-standard of organisation. The pair took the third and final stage of the 20th edition of the KAP sani2c in a time of 02:54:45, after a sprint finish with the Insect Science team of Arno du Toit and Keagan Bontekoning (02:54:50).   17. The PYGA Euro Steel 2 team, Michael Foster and Jaedon Terlouw, made it two of two today at Mackenzie Club in a time of 03:01:48. Sam Sanders and Danielle Strydom (Efficient Infiniti Insure) dominated the women’s race, finishing in 03:36:50, taking 6th place overall for the stage. After the elite race kicked off with a Prologue yesterday, riders left Glencairn this morning to race 89 kms, with 1027m of climibing. The PYGA Euro Steel 2 team, iXopo local Michael Foster and teammate Jaedon Terlouw, won the KAP sani2c Race Prologue at Glencairn Farm near Himeville today in a time of 00:39:31,  followed by the PYGA Euro Steel 1 team of Philip Buys and Pieter du Toit (00:40:14).   20. The KAP sani2c Race kicks off on Thursday 24 April, where, for the first time in the 20-year history of the event, there will be a Prologue for the UCI registered riders.
