  2. Just wanted to say a very big thank you to Ian at CoolHeat(shimano) for the great customer service. Ian helped me to replace my Crankset.
  3. Just checking to see if anybody else has had an issue with the crank arm stripping and not tightening onto the axle. Shimano is blaming the mechanic for over tightening the arm onto the axle when he phoned them for advice .My mechanic says he tightened it to 45nm as suggested by Shimano and I believe him. I then took the bike to Cyclelab for assistance as I had bought the bike from them. They showed it to the Shimano rep who blamed the mechanic This was one of the first XTR 9120 in SA and I believe that this is going to be a big problem with the design and fastening mechanism of this Crankset. Two types of metal(a hard axle and a soft ALU crank) and then a complex adjustment ring to take up the play after tightening with a torque wrench. Apparently this is the 3rd bike to experience this issue lately according to the mechanics at Cyclelab who have been told so by Shimano. Shimano is full on blaming the mechanics for over torquing.
