After struggling with numbness/pain in the toes of my left foot for some time due to a narrow shoe/toe box, my Podiatrist recommended the Shimano M088 MTB shoe as a possible solution. The shoe is advertised as a "wide fit last for riders with high insteps or high volume feet". I fitted various sizes of this shoe at my local bike shop but could not feel a real difference in width or toe box space. The box indicates a M088L. After further research on the internet I noticed that reference is also made to M088LE or M088E for the wide last shoe. Could someone from Shimano perhaps provide clarity on this?
