  1. Please like our FB page : de Wildt off road series , to have look at the fun the guys had on Saturday . We had one participant that was 78 years old & completed the 35 km and enjoyed it !
  2. We are from De Wildt ... We push on and push thru ! After the weekends event , we actually feel very posative ; NO ONE GOT LOST , and everyone enjoyed the route . We even found a lost set of car keys & cellphone ! Gauteng North cycling actually asked us , if we would be interested in hosting another event prior to 8 November 2014 . The jury is still out on this one Thank you so much for all your feedback & suggestions . We have learned a great deal , Grrrrr

  4. NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH GOOD NEWS THURSDAY Saturdays event have been changed to a free ride ! As it will not be a timed event . Due to various reasons we decided to postpone the race to 8 November 2014 . For those that have entered online ; your entey fees will be carried . As we are commited to presenting a professional series on the best route in Gauteng the ride will be open to anyone that want to have a decent practice or a leisurely ride on the 35 km . The route will still be well marshalled & marked . There will just be no time keeping and one water point only . There will be eats & drinks on sale See you all the on Saturday morning

  6. Gents , Thank you for the feedback . Here is just some appetizers : * The marking is being done completely different from last time ; Color coding used on the various routes , with LARGE sign posts at splits * The water points have been beefed up ... Now includes tyre repair facilities ! And for the takers on the 55 k's some eats to power you UP ! * and more importantly , the routes are in pristine condition and above all there is sunny skies forecasted for Saturday ! PS our Marshall's are better trained & equipped No guts , no glory ...

  10. PS Our water points have even further improved , Route marking drastically changed & increased , And we will have better educated Marshall's, Your times will be send thru for SA seeding & to the KIA ranking system

Sunny Sunday greetings Hubbers , Here is some more info on the de Wildt MTB challenge , Next race : 10 May 2014 & then 8 November 2014 The race starts & Finish at Laerskool Vissershoek , who is also the only beneficery from the event .They are the oldest farm school in GP 124 yrs young ! S : 25 deg 39 " 39 28.3 ' E 27 deg 57"15 ' 55 km R160 - 35 km R130 - 10 km R80 5/1 for kiddos R30 Entry form on Cycle lab Route info : “De Wildt nestles at the foot of the magnificent Magaliesberg Mountains and the route will take you through beautiful landscape scenery that will offer you a generous mixed route that include single track and technical climbs. Event Name: DE WILDT OFF ROAD SERIES , MTB Challenge When: 10 May 2014 Where: Laerskool Vissershoek , de Wildt , Pretoria, Gauteng Category: MTB There are two options available ; 35 or 55 km Both routes nestles at the foot of the Magalies mountains in the well known de Wildt valley . The routes will take you thru some of the best landscapes Gauteng has on offer ; Farm lands , River beds , Bushveld forests , Grasslands & the mountain . Therefore both routes offer a generous mix of single tracks & mountain climbs .Be sure to keep an eye out for the Antelope & other wildlife along the routes . Two family routes are available : 5 & 10 km The 5 km loop will take you along the farmland & Bushveld vegetation around the school Go to Event Page

Our apologies that it took so long , but between a passionate photographer & website bug ... it took longer than anticipated . The next batch will be up by this Thursday .
