My good lady and I ride Atlas road occasionally. I stop for someone with problems generally. If I can see that someone is working on the bike and there is more than one person there, I'll ask if all is ok. Usually all is fine and I carry on riding. I myself learnt the hard way out there when I forgot to check what was in the saddle bag. Of course that was the day I picked up a puncture..... had a 5km walk back to the car. Several people stopped to assist nonetheless and no one had tyre levers with them. Lesson learnt, always check that the essentials are on the bike.
