Hi Miguel, i am currently on the lookout for a stride 10. or even scott aspect series. I cant wait to start riding! Only problem is that im struggling to find a bicycle of that quality for R3000 second hand. If i cant find any i will have to stretch my budget which will take me more or less 2 months longer.

Thank you all for the great feedback, Thanks to you guys i have decided to look for a Silverback Stride 10. I know i will have years of pleasure with the bike. That few extra bucks i have added to my budget will bring its part. Once i get addicted which i believe i will, i will definitely come and ask your advice again Its tough making such decision when you know nothing about the sport.

Awsome! Definitely a must have for where i stay. If i can manage to buy a Silverback Stride 10, would it be that much better than the Stride 20?

Thank you for the quick feedback. Hahaha if that's the case i might consider making a loan or just cough up and buy something a bit more decent. I am a beginner and this will be my first bicycle for the long term. Only received positive feedback on Silverback. This might be a stupid question, but what is slyme laced wheels?

Hi everyone I am planning to buy a Silverback Stride 20 2013/2012 model. How is the bicycle? Will I be able to have years of enjoyment. I will use it to ride around the block and sometimes on gravel road. I also looked at the Scott Aspect 60 2013 model. My price range is R3000-R4000 and second hand R2000 +- is it reasonable?
