  1. As to which company to insure with .. i accept that over time there will be wear and tare but when a two year old frame suddenly cracks - and you hear it crack when you hit whatever you are going over - don't you think it is convenient that the "cause is due to metal fatigue" and no payout is made? BTW i did not claim for a complete bike just the frame! So in my opinion i would rather go with pedalcare
  2. This review is of one company - Cyclesure. I have been insured with this company for three years during which i have been fortunate enough to be claim free and thus was unable to review their pay-out ability. This situation has now changed as I have damaged my mtb frame - I miss hit a water-course bump at about 60kph and crcked the frame - the surity that i felt at being covered by "accident damage" evaporated as the company refused to pay-out, citing metal fatigue and the inability to cover fair wear and tare. The metallurgists analyzing the frame could not exclude the forces from the rear wheel on the swing arm as being strong enough to cause the fractures seen in the frame but could not exclude metal fatigue either.... So in conclusion Cyclesure took the easy option and elected not to pay out. My review of the company thus far - poor.
  3. I was insured with Cycle sure, and had been for the past 3 years (claim free). A recent hard mountain bike landing that resulted in a cracked frame should have been settled, as it was a direct cause-effect occurence but, was not! The reason given was "sudden metal fatigue"??!!! In a nut shell the insurance paid to Cyclesure, as a bicycle specific insurance, was a waste of money and any other general insurance company would be a better alternative!
