I think it is only fair to rate this race after race day. What I find comfortable or technical could be the opposite for others.Being the Magaliesberg should not put you off,and I have found that a route profile can scare riders. The climb to the highest point on the route and not the mouintain is a gradual climb with sections to recover.Get to the top and the rest will be rewarding. This route was discoverd and not designed to compare with any other race in the in the country.

R800-00 will give you 2days of amazing riding with timing, feed stations, marshals and access you to trails that cannot be riden outside of the race. And at the end our famous Brauhaus Beer.

Event Name: DAM2DAM When: 2 August 2014 - 3 August 2014 Where: ATKV BUFFELSPOORT, North West Category: MTB " NATURE AT ITS BEST" rivalling any existing MTB route in the country! On the first day the competitors will be riding out from ATKV Buffelspoort past Buffelspoort Dam and traverse the Magaliesburg on the Northern slopes in a Westerly direction pasing the Brauhaus am Dam at Olifantsnek Dam to finish at KONKA on the Southern side of the Magaliesburg. The 2nd day (stage) starts from KONKA and finishes at Brauhaus am Dam with some well deserved home brew beer awaiting the riders.On the second day a 60km race will start after the stage race and will follow the same route and finish at the Brauhaus am Dam.There will also be a 20km race for the not so adventuraus. Come and explore a new area of the Magaliesberg that has never been ridden on a mountain bike before and opens up a new world to the adventuraus competitor or rider. Event Name: RUSTENBURG KONKA MTB EVENT When: 7 June 2014 Where: RUSTENBURG, North West Category: MTB The KONKA event is 21 km from Rustenburg on the Magaliesburg rd. The 65 and 30km race will take you on single track,jeep track and no tar roads.This is a circular route.The 65km route will turn around at the now famous Brauhaus am Damm with a water point with some beer to sample.One rideable hill for the King and Queen of the mountain for the 65 and 30km The Juniors will have a PRINCE and PRINCESS of the mountain on the 30km. First Male and Female SINGLE SPEED riders to complete the 65km will also be rewarded with a cash prize. P.S. NO GEAR FIXING. A 10km race for the novice in the sport will take place on farm road and jeep track. The venue at KONKA with a floating bridge finish right infront of a deck with all the family and friends enjoying whats on offer to eat and drink and waiting for a spectacular fall off the bridge.
