I was just wondering if there was anyone here who'd done much self-supported trans-continental riding? I can't seem to find any local bike shops that cater to this kind of thing and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to where I could find an appropriate bike and accessories? Specifically I'm interested in suggestions about trailers... Bike suggestions would also be helpful. Research on the interweb seems to suggest that steel is the way forward for durability and fixability...
