  1. hey i dont know if you sent me a mail adress yet because i can find anything yet i seem to recall something, AM I GOING MAD? send me mail adress.
  2. thanks, how do you polish with out damaging, what do you use. can you polish the cast components, the aluminium and alloys. sometimes i dont have time to polish because money needs to come in quick because ive always got money laid out and sometimes i buy a white elephant or a keeper. got something from 1956 here some east german bikes and a western flyer the guys on the american forums reckon is a seventies thing, i bought that just because of the cool retro headlamp. im hoping to restore these bikes to use as movie props one day. i am learning still, sold couple of bmx as well and a chopper in perfect perfect condition, it was 30yrs or more old.. but i got a bit robbed on that one. wish i knew about forums before i sold that bike. but some of these bikes make me sad when they leave because i would dig to just monut them as pieces of art... i just dig the look of that TREK... regards the TORELLI send me a mail to spin@hotmail so i can send pics. i went to my workshop today to take extra shots. i think i will have to let the TREK go at cost then, we are buying 20 bikes in next few days to resell, but they standard mass produced second hand things we make minimal on but they fly out... if theres time or money i will keep the TREK and spen more time on it. LOOK THE TORELLI IS DUSTY AND THIS MORNING I WAS RUBBING IT A BIT AND STILL THOUGHT I SHOULD CLEAN IT UP... BUT then it might be cheating? because it still is what it is.. i kinda feel more truthful for people to see it as it is. cool, get back to me with email adress. brad out.
  3. hello yes im willing to sell the Torelli aswell, make a fair offer please im learning still, but i bought it realising it had some potential. im actually putting together antique bikes i can rent out as props to the movie industry and need to fund this.. but i hope i dont shoot myself in the foot and pay for something thats not worth anything but i believe i have a eye for something of potential value, even if i only make like R500 on the purchase price, its 500 more than i had... but with the bmxs i score, even the old choppers. i got a 1956 Rudge the other day but that needs work and antique parts from England. so that baby will have to wait till ive saved up. if you want i will send you even more detailed shots of Torelli and detailed notes, i always want to be honest and transparent. There is nothing wrong structurally with bike but paint work in some places needs attention. The guys on the overseas forums also reckon its a cool bike. cool, get back to me. Is R4000 a fair price?
  4. oh, for some reason i thought it was The Classic and Antique Bike Exchange, could of sworn i saw their logo pop up.registering now..
  5. NO HARE.. thats a foreign site, i just joined earlier and posted some of my old bikes there for idea of value, but they my keepers. will overseas guys buy from us here...
  6. thanks, ive seen that. the price in dollars for this bike is hectic. do americans buy here, sorry i sound silly, but like i said its new. DAMN, how do you understand e-bay. does one need a course, i found it complicated, but maybe i was not applying myself. a while ago i wanted to sell a Chopper on e-bay, i got stuck on the parcel size and value bit... TOO MUCH. but if thats a channel then i must get on it. in your opinion is e-bay easy to use. in the condition it is could i make my 2500 back. is this the right forum to post this kind of question. is it pushing it if i post the torelli aswell. Do you know current bmx forums, seems alot out there but old and not as chatty and responsive as this site. but i dont see any bmx on this site, its mentioned in titles but theres nothing there when i go there. Thanks
  7. sorry top image from the Torelli, i dont how i mixed it up.
  8. hello, i bought this TREK 470 yesterday with the idea of reselling. i have started collecting antique bikes but they cost a lot to get spares. One of my latest is a Rudge from England that is from 1956. So by shopping around i sometimes think i might stumble across something that has more potential value than it has by sitting in a store room or garage or auction floor. But the question is is my eye right, im hoping to get a general idea of valuable products and icons so i can buy then resell. there is too much to learn at this age plus running around hunting sourcing going to markets auctions etc takes up time... SO PLEASE CAN I ASK YOUR OPINIONS AND CAN YOU HELP ME... so firstly, the Trek 470. What is it worth and are there people who would buy one in South Africa. How will i work out the age and then what classification does it go into..eg light weight racer, middle school, old school, classic. DO YOU EVEN USE "SCHOOL" TERMINOLOGY FOR ROAD BIKES or should i keep that for my BMXs i sell. is this the right place to ask these questions, if not please tell me where to go. I also have a Torelli road bike and a mongoose bmx frame and araya rims. I KNOW THIS SAYS RANT AND RAVE BUT I DID NOT SEE A TOPIC TITLE ABOUT ASKING QUESTIONS, this is all new to meie forums, please guide me, COOL, I LOOK FORWARD TO A RESPONSE. really need help with the Torelli. Thankyou
