  1. To the idiot that wrote the article. You are a bit of anal wart. Actually if I could swear on this site I would start with your mother. While you have the ability to do something but choose not to because you are a lazy piece of sh!t, there are people who would do the toughest stage of the Epic every day if it would get them out of their wheelchairs. I have a family member and 3 friends in wheelchairs and your article is nothing else than a desperate attempt to gain exposure as nobody knows who you are nor do we give a damn. Writing an article like this is bound to get reaction. It's very sad really. May you get your wish, get hit by a bus, land up in a wheelchair and then we chat and see what you would give to cycle.
  2. I would have stopped and sorted him out...
  3. I agree with Shimano105. Going on a protest ride will just result in another few cyclists getting knocked over. Plus protests happen so often these days that nobody gives a sh!t and you can hardly keep up with what exactly people are protesting about. My suggestion. Stick to MTB and do the road races where there are total road closures. TIA, This Is Africa and we are heading to become the same sh!thole Zim is today. I'm waiting for my girlfriend to finish here degree, then we getting married next year and then my good friends, with lots and lots of sadness i'm leaving this awesome country so my family and future children can have a better future, quality of live and grow up in a country where there is self disipline and where 80% of a population doesn't hate and recent each other...

    Ethics

This is just a statement and I won't go into names... With regards to the Telkom Sattelite mountain bike race, when you sit behind someone the entire race and let him do all the work, you don't sprint him for the line... I would have thought professional riders know this...
  5. Just a word of thanx to all the people who assisted my father this morning at Northern Farm at around 10:30. We were doing a ride trying to get rid of the winter weight and getting fit again when my dad had a heart attack. I managed to get to him with our car while some lovely people stayed with him and we got to hospital in nick of time. Operation went well and he is recovering. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart!
  6. Rough an tough!! Thats the way I like it. Check out this link >>> https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=52181 Looks like another tough but brilliant race... BeeT2009-05-31 12:41:47
  7. No, pulling sponsorship is like kicking your dog bacause the cat took a piss on your carpet. Brandon & Max shouldn't suffer because of the "machanic". They'll just never use him again(nor would any other team, hence my comment previously that he was "kaking on his own stoep") I think this topic has reached a point where nothing more constructive will come from it and should be closed/deleted...
  8. Classic....
  9. Nice comeback...
  10. Roberto, I agree that he should get paid but have a problem with someone going on like a little chick, posting two topics on the same issue and making DCM look like sh*t. I know Jason and he will sort your girlfriend out with his money but going on the way he his makes me lose my simpathy for him...
  11. Jy *** nou op jou eie stoep tiger... You got the attention of Jason. Remove your childish posts and phone him on Monday and hope you didn't piss enough people off with this stunt so they start boycotting or naming and shaming your shop... Getting tired of you crying on The Hub over pennies here...
  12. I feel you jagwil. Writing international economics on Monday. Good luck! Please make the ride just a bit later next time if it's on a Sunday as most churches start round 9 for an hour. Njoy the ride though!!!
  13. Grapkas. You do get poepholle like that old guy. "The road belongs to him and only him". I have a bit of a temper and would most likely have put my shoe through his door, following up by shoving his head up his arse. NOTHING JUSTIFIES PUTTING RIDERS LIVES IN DANGER. This guy is no better than the taxi driver that killed the girl in Pta on her way to school. He was just lucky that nobody got injured but it could just as easy have been worse. As for the following vehicle, ESSENTIAL. Cars can wait 10 sec. Its no biggy and it keeps riders safe!
  14. I see way too many people getting knocked down by cars resulting in either death or serious injuries. MTB is the way to go. I agree that Jhb has alot of "important" people who feel the roads belong to them and only them and everybody else are dumb idiots that can't drive but I also see groups as small as 3 people occasionally riding next to each other. As a cyclist myself I get pissed off with that. You don't prevoke reaction when in a single file. Keeping a car up because you are spread out next to each other however pisses anybody off...

    HD PVR

Sweet! I'm thinking of getting HD PVR. Got a Toshiba 42" Full HD tv 2 days ago and wanted to know if there is a difference in picture quality with a HD decoder compared to a normal PVR decoder? Please let me know...
