Thanks a lot - going to make time this week for a test!
BMC have the2015 Teamelite 02 for R27 000...
Does anyone have any knowledge / experience of the Momsen AL229 Racing?
https://momsenbikes.com/bikes/hardtail-alloy/al229-racing/#bike-specs
I can't find any reviews - only of the AL229 which is a different bike and about R6000 less in price.
The fork is a RockShox RECON Silver Air Suspension Fork – Solo Air with 100mm Travel. Is this any good...
I'm looking for a bike for Tokai, Greenbelt etc Perhaps some shortish 'races'
All replies appreciated...
I liked the end of the press release... "Thank you to ThinkBike and the BMW Club Marshalls for keeping our riders safe..."
I was thinking the same thing...
How can you post / release that?
For a National event why are volunteer marshals being used, instead of traffic officials with the correct authority to make the idiot truck driver stop?
Exactly! Surely national events should have traffic police in force?
Pay the overtime or whatever it costs - is a rider's life not worth doing it?
Is the only requirement some form of ID now?
Wasn't there some form of permit in the past?
Just heard from family in Wellington that a female cyclist was killed outside Wellington this morning.
Not sure what happened.
All I heard was that she was busy training.
Anyone got more info?
Horrendous!
R.I.P
Unbelievably impressive!!!
26 inch wheels or 29 inch?
What year is it?
Great guide! Thanks to all those who made this possible...
I saw a Giant xtc Aluxx SL 26er size Large for sale in Wynberg yesterday.
It's a white frame with red accents (2012?) - couldn't get a serial number.
Blue Chris Willemse sticker on the chain stay; one white and red Giant bottle holder, one black holder. Back tyre is well worn.
Why am I suspicious?
1. It still has trail dirt on it - even if I was selling to a pawn shop I'd wash my bike.
2. There is an inner tube taped to the seat post.
Although as you'll have to replace wheels and tyres perhaps less... R2500?
R3000 to R3500...
Beautiful!
That's what I meant... 'your' as in the person reading this.
Guy on a possibly stolen silverback, stopped by security guard?
Is this your bike?
In-cre-di-ble!
All the help that students can get is welcome - they are not all smashing campuses or able to generate their own funds - particularly in the smaller university towns.
Very sad to hear...R.I.P
So, in summarry:
Know what you are buying in terms of policies, and get it in writing...
and deal with the manufacturer as far as possible.
On the list for the summer holidays - again and again...
Jip, same thing Jacky. Group-sets are a bit of a mystery to figure out naming wise when you start getting into mountain biking! This image may help:
Thanks for posting this - very useful!

I don't have a Titan but:
I know people who do ride Titans - have not heard a single complaint.
The Bike Addict deals are really tempting...
