On the last sprint to the top, these guys flew out there.

As I understand from the club meeting I attended the trails will be closed for the duration of the prologue. Certain sections however you would be able to access as a spectator.

From the info I received the road will be open from Durbanville side to Meerendal. So you would be able to reach Meerendal by car.

I think that some of the confusion relates to how the groups are divided, see me post earlier with the starting times. If you are in B you start first group for 60km. F is first group for 42km, K is first group for 30km and P first for 15km. F group is actually the A bunch of the 42km race!!.

The only 9 speed cluster with a 36 is from shimano, 12-36 (HG61), made for the 29er. I am using it, just heavy.

I am using the 29er version, still going strong after 1500 km's. Light and sealing with tubeless tyres is very easy. They are taking some abuse on my dual suspension and there was no need to straighten yet!!.
