To all the Mountain Bikers that came out today, thank you so much for your support! I wish I could've meet you all in person, but these anonymous posts, make it so difficult to put a face to the name. (In some cases a name to a face!) We really strive to give you a great experience and welcome all the feed back. We have a meeting on Wednesday, and I will give all the feedback and recommendations from The Hub. Yes, the problem is, the potjiekos only get judged as 11:30. And we can't interfere with the pots before then. The participants already start at 08h00. But perhaps we can do something else besides hamburgers and hot dogs in the kitchen? I realise racers, especially growing boys must be famish by then. Please let us know.

We will also have a marshal at all the Escape routes. Riders that make use of it, get a bright pink sticker. They still get a medal, but no timing.

New route, 60km, takes you over the river, Jaco. But it is not worse than previous years. Just longer.

Hi Breezer Beginning (roughly first 35km) is the same, but the very last hectic climb was taken out. (We had an awful fire which lasted more than two weeks, and didn't want to have you riding moon landscape all the way!) So we are taking you down to the river, towards Slanghoek past Lateganskop Cellar (beautiful scenery) for the last 20km.
