I have an aluminium frame with a crack in the bottom tube where the bottle cage attaches. Does anyone know whether such crack can be repaired successfully, and if so, where or who can do it? Note: the frame has long passed the manufactures guarantee. https://www.bikehub.co.za/smileys/smiley19.gif

Had exactly the same problem last year during the carousel race. Was on a tandem and only my partner got an official time. After several mails to and fro (the lady Sue) I had to pay 50 bucks to get an official time. Does not help to argue or be nice to this lady..... Their policy (no where posted) states that if the chip is not mounted on a CC bracket you have no hope in hell.
