  1. Prize money and sending our Juniors on the Europe tour is two different things, but on that topic, yes, I think it is disgusting, we have such talented young riders, they have to prove themselves at their own cost overseas, Look at the results, Michell took two first places last weekend. Look at Christopher and the others, they are preforming well, winning. the argument is this is for their experienced, but yet once they start winning it is now our South African riders... Look at the track riders going to worlds....... representing our country, they also have to pay the bulk of the money!!!!! and and they had to pay on top of that money to go to DURBAN to have a team training. Perhaps if we were soccer or rugby our government would give us more support On this note, good luck to all our Juniors selected to go to Junior Worlds in Moscow....
  2. I agree, there should be equality in the sport, all treated the same, but one must take all factors in consideration. You cannot give full prize money to first place if she is the only rider, make a table and say 100% prize money for 10 entries, 90% for 9 entries and so on, this should count for both male and female. I am also 100% against prize money for youth riders, they should be receiving trophies or medals (prize money in youth cycling makes the parents nasty!!!)
