Do you know if I can report it at my local Police Station (Fourways) or do I need to go out to Hekpoort?

Hi Guys I have not laid charges as yet. Not sure of the effectiveness of SAPS in these situations. I just want the guy to understand that we both have right to the road and if he hurts or kills someone he will also ruin his own life. I know he is afrikaans because when he hit me with his mirror he stopped, reveresed and turned around and abused myself and fellow riders (myself, my mate, both our wifes and my mates son). He said that there was enough space to get past and that I hit his mirror on purpose, however if I can touch his car its too close, he did not slow down and veered closer towards us. he aslo said that they want to stop all cyclists using there road and that Joburgers should stay in Joburg. I would have let it go if this was the first time however having experienced the same thing the week previous and the experience of the riders behind us is too much of a coincidence. G

Hi Guy's Please be very careful! The is a warning for those that train or ride Breedts Nek from the Hekport side. I have two incidents, one last Saturday morning and one this Saturday morning at about 09h00 on the way back to the garage at hekpoort. There is a driver along this dirt road that is going to kill one of us, as he does not slow down past cyclists. There are places along this dirt road that only allow for one vehicle and this 'person' narrowly missed my wife, freinds and I on both occaisions. We were riding single file on both occaisions with no room to move further off the track. He actually tries to get as close as possible and so close that the last time I put up my hand to protect myself and my hand made solid contact with his mirror. This made the Afikaans 'farmer' driver stop and tell us that he has full right to the road and is going to ensure that cyclists stop using this district road. After the incident this Saturday two cyclists caught up with us and relayed the same experience. This is three incidents that I know of in two weeks and this person is going to end up killing someone on that road. The vehicle is: - Gold Toyota Fortuner Reg WXY435GP White Male, 55+yrs, 150kgs, big farmer hat, afrikaans Please guys exersize caution on this route. Regards Gary

I stand to be corrected, however I think it was the 120 or 128 series and the replacement would be the TFS 800D. The bikes would not necessarily be cheaper, but better value ie full XT on the 800D (replacing the 900D transmission). Depending on exchange rates the range should start at R12K, R15K, R18K, R22K.

Thanks Guys I do weekend warrior / fun riding as well as shortish MTB races frpm 30 to 60 kms. I will take advice and look at the silverback. I have also been looking at the Merida Trans-mission 900D (Best price approx R16500-00), however all size 19's are sold out (checked with the distributer) as the 2010 models are due in September. Hi Guys I am considering upgrading from my old hardtail (Haro) to a dual suspension. Does anyone one have any comments on the Felt Compulsion 4 currently selling at R14400-00 and are the any other brand offering similar spec at a similar price?
